17-Year-Old Charged with Murder After Sleepover Dispute Turns Deadly

As a result of being told that he could not have a friend sleep over at their home, a young man in Wisconsin assaulted his uncle, who was also his roommate. The victim, who has since passed away as a result of his injuries, was a teenager.

Before the victim passed away, Ronnie Fuentez, who was 17 years old at the time, was initially charged with battery; however, the charge was later escalated to murder. According to the evidence presented in a criminal complaint, a Waukesha police officer was dispatched to Waukesha Memorial Hospital on February 5 in response to an allegation of an assault involving domestic violence that had taken place four days earlier. The victim, who has not been identified, was found to be awake and conscious in a hospital bed, according to the officer who found them. The individual was able to communicate, although it was difficult for him to do so “due to internal bleeding in his brain.”

On the other hand, the victim persisted and informed the officer that his nephew, Fuentez, was the one who had injured him on the evening of February 1. They had been living together for close to four years at that point.

In the complaint, the victim stated that he was in a dispute with his nephew at approximately ten o’clock that evening. The reason for the dispute was that the defendant had denied the nephew permission to have a friend stay over, which “caused the defendant to get upset.” According to reports, the situation escalated to the point that the nephew began yelling when Fuentez was given instructions to order the friend to go home.

It was then that punches were thrown.

The victim claimed that Fuentez struck him in the head region with a clenched fist, and then he replied with a punch that was very identical to the one he had just delivered “in self-defence.” In response to the victim’s attempt to shield his head with his hands, Fuentez “continued to punch him with a closed fist” while simultaneously saying “p—boy.”

As soon as the battle was over, the suspect is alleged to have left the residence quickly, and they are said to have returned the following morning. Unfortunately, it is not apparent what happened to the friend.

Fuentez allegedly informed the victim at some point, “I’ve wanted to f– you up since the first day I moved in.” The victim then reported this to the police at a later time.

Over the course of the subsequent three days, the victim did not make any attempts to notify the authorities or visit the hospital. On February 3, two days after the fight, he experienced a migraine in the afternoon. However, he reported that he felt better after taking medication that was available without a prescription over the counter.

The migraine, on the other hand, continued to be present two days later. After that, a remarkable occurrence had place that was really concerning.

The victim indicated that later in the morning on February 5, he was on the phone with his mother when he “began to struggle with speaking in complete sentences.” He was in the middle of a conversation with his mother. It was his mother who drove over to check on him, and she ultimately took him to the hospital because she was under the impression that he was having a stroke. According to the nurses who were present, he was diagnosed with an internal brain bleed, and he was then admitted to the intensive care unit.

It would appear that Fuentez committed the claimed murder on February 1 when he was out on bond, having been released from jail in September of the previous year for a crime that was unconnected to the one he was accused of committing. Due to the fact that he “did not comply with the terms of his bond,” hw is expected to face a charge of misdemeanour bail jumping as a consequence of this.

A late May death occurred for the sufferer. It is anticipated that Fuentez will appear in court on Saturday in Waukesha County.
