The identity of the two-year-old kid who passed away on Thursday afternoon after inadvertently shooting himself on the north side of Indianapolis has been revealed by the coroner for Marion County.
On June 19, just before three o’clock in the afternoon, the event took place in the parking lot of a CVS located in the 2300 block of East 46th Street, close to Keystone Avenue.
After being taken to the hospital by medical personnel, the kid, who was later determined to be Javarius Bickett, succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
When the police arrived, Bickett was standing outside of a vehicle; however, they think that the shooting took place inside the transportation vehicle. Despite the fact that the investigation into the occurrence is still underway, the detectives believe that the shooting was both accidental and self-inflicted.
Following consultation with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman stated on Friday morning that there has been no arrest made at this time.
They are conducting an investigation into this unimaginable incident, and we are working along with them. During this trying time, we want the family of the kid to know that we are thinking about and praying for them.
In the event that you have any further information regarding the occurrence, please contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at the following number: 317-262-8477.
All of the individuals that were engaged have been located and accounted for, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
