21-Year-Old Dies After Car Overturns in Arlington Driveway Accident

An accident that occurred on Turner Warnell Road in Arlington on Saturday night resulted in the overturning of a Ford Mustang, which resulted in the death of a human being who was 21 years old.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a call and discovered the man lying in the driveway of a residence in the neighborhood. At the scene, emergency medical services determined that he had passed away.

At the scene of the accident, the Crash Investigation Unit of the Arlington Police Department arrived to investigate. According to the investigators, the driver of the 2019 Ford Mustang was traveling at a high speed in the 4300 block of Turner Warnell Road with the intention of heading west when he lost control of the vehicle.

The Mustang went into a drainage ditch and collided with a tree, after which it re-entered the roadway and flipped over, according to a press release issued by the police on Monday. It is estimated that the driver was thrown from the vehicle and landed approximately forty feet away from the location where the vehicle came to a stop. According to the investigators, he most likely did not have a seatbelt on.

One of the witnesses, as reported by the police, stated that the Mustang was attempting to get around another vehicle at the time of the fatal collision.

Following the notification of the driver’s next of kin, the name of the driver will be made public by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
