22-Year-Old Killed in Route 9 Crash That Shut Down Chesterfield Roadway for Hours

Over the course of many hours on Sunday afternoon, Route 9 in Chesterfield, New Hampshire was closed due to a three-vehicle collision that was caused by a car that crossed into oncoming traffic. As a result of this collision, one person was killed and at least two others sustained significant injuries.

near approximately 12:27 p.m., state police troopers went to a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Route 9 near Wellington Drive. When they arrived, they discovered three vehicles and seven people involved in the collision.

Arreona Davey, who was 22 years old and from Farmington, was one of those who was found to be deceased at the site, according to the police. Two people, one of whom was a passenger in a second vehicle, were transported to Cheshire Medical Center with injuries that were considered to be significant but not life-threatening.

According to the authorities, the driver of the third vehicle and three passengers traveling in that vehicle did not require medical attention.

During the initial phase of the investigation, it was determined that Davey was operating a Nissan Pathfinder when the vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with the other vehicles for circumstances that are still being investigated.

During the almost four hours that the on-scene investigation was taking place, Route 9 in Chesterfield was closed to traffic because of the high number of people who responded to the collision.
