A youngster of three years old passed away on Friday, according to the police, following what is believed to have been a drowning incident at a residence located in east Arlington.
As stated by the Arlington Police Department, emergency responders were dispatched to the 2100 block of Overbrook Drive at approximately 4:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a person who had drowned.
As officers arrived, they observed an adult bringing the youngster, who was not responding to their commands, to the front yard. According to the police, they conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until the arrival of the paramedics.
According to the authorities, the boy was taken to a hospital, where he was later confirmed dead after being taken there.
Investigations are being conducted by the authorities in order to ascertain the circumstances behind the occurrence.
