Detroit Police say that a shooting that took place on Friday night at the Skinner Playfield, which is located near to Denby High School, resulted in the deaths of two persons, including a kid who was four years old.
A shot was fired in the back of the child. A person who was 18 years old was also dead. A third victim, aged 17, sustained injuries but managed to survive.
According to a webcast of his remarks that was made available online, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison stated that every life is valued when he was present at the scene. The fact that a child of four years old was shot in the back, on the other hand, “I’m very, very disturbed by this,” Bettison added.
Two individuals of interest, who the police believe may be the shooters, have been taken into custody, according to Bettison. The probe, however, is not yet complete, he stated. Bettison requested that those who had information to share their thoughts.

The police have not yet established the circumstances that led to the shooting.
On the other hand, Bettison did admit that, in most cases, “it’s always an argument, some kind of dispute,” he said. During the incident, he made the statement, “And so we find ourselves here.”
