5-Year-Old Child Injured in San Francisco Hit-and-Run; Suspect Arrested

On Monday, the San Francisco Police Department said that they had taken into custody a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred on May 24 and resulted in a child suffering significant injuries.

This past Sunday, the suspect was taken into custody in Daly City. Mr. Jonathan Tyler Lam, who is 35 years old, was identified as the suspect by the police.

The incident occurred on May 24 in the vicinity of 31st Avenue and Clement Street. The woman was strolling with her child, who was five years old and riding a push bike. At approximately 6:20 p.m., the police reported that they were struck by a car who subsequently fled the site of the accident.

A statement from the police on Monday said that the youngster’s injuries were considered to be life-threatening. The child was brought to the hospital.

In accordance with the San Francisco County Jail, Lam was reportedly taken into custody on suspicion of committing a felony hit-and-run.
