65-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Maine, Authorities Say

TURNER, Maine– In the afternoon on Friday, a single motorcycle accident in Androscoggin County claimed the life of a guy from Lisbon.

It took place on Auburn Road in Turner soon before 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, William Brooks, 65, was riding his motorbike through Auburn Road in the direction of northbound traffic when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with an embankment.

During the accident, Brooks was ejected from the bicycle and incurred severe injuries.

He was sent to a hospital in Lewiston, where it was determined that he had passed away.

The sheriff’s office stated that Brooks was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision of the two vehicles.

Currently, the investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
