8 People Arrested in Major New Jersey Raids That Turned Up Machine Guns and Drugs

Eight individuals have been taken into custody as a result of state troopers conducting raids in high-crime areas across the state in the previous month.

Hillside, Newark, and Burlington were the locations of major raids.

Four individuals were taken into custody as a result of the execution of five search warrants in Burlington, Newark, and Hillside on June 9th, according to the New Jersey State Police. These search warrants were carried out in conjunction with many other NJSP units and partner agencies.

Cash, weaponry, including a machine gun with a silencer, AR-15 high-capacity magazines, and a significant cache of illegal substances were taken into custody by the authorities.

The individuals who have not been identified as suspects are being charged with a variety of offenses, including drug distribution, leadership of a narcotics trafficking network, and several weapons offenses.

A Trenton operation has resulted in additional arrests.

Two additional arrests were made as a result of a task force operation that was carried out in Trenton on June 14th by state troopers and local police departments.

A vehicle that had been stolen, a ghost gun, a machine gun called an Uzi, and illegal substances were all found and retrieved at that location.

Possession and trafficking of drugs, aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, escaping law enforcement, and firearms violations were among the charges that were brought against the defendant.

With a Focus on Public Safety, the New Jersey State Police

According to a Facebook post from authorities, “These joint efforts significantly disrupted criminal activity across multiple jurisdictions and highlight the NJSP’s ongoing commitment to collaborative strategies that enhance public safety statewide.”

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
