Brooklyn, New York – A chaotic scene unfolded in Park Slope on Sunday afternoon when a man allegedly stole a FedEx truck, crashed it multiple times, and then bizarrely returned to the scene to attempt hijacking an ambulance, police said.
FedEx Truck Hijacking in Park Slope
According to the NYPD, 32-year-old Domanique Bullock allegedly jumped into a parked FedEx truck outside 606 Carroll Street around 2:25 p.m. and shoved the 25-year-old driver out before speeding off eastbound.
“He just jumped in and pushed the driver out,” a police source said. “Then he took off like a maniac.”
Moments later, Bullock allegedly smashed into a stationary 2012 Mercedes-Benz SUV parked just a few doors down before continuing on Carroll Street.
His reckless drive didn’t stop there — Bullock rear-ended a yellow 2024 taxi that was waiting at a red light at Carroll Street and Sixth Avenue, before plowing into a church fence, causing visible damage to the property.
Chaos Turns Bizarre: Attempted Ambulance Theft
After abandoning the wrecked FedEx truck, Bullock fled the scene on foot, but in a strange twist, returned minutes later while emergency responders were tending to the crash site.
“He came right back and tried to steal an ambulance,” a responding officer said.
According to police, Bullock tried to climb into a New York-Presbyterian Hospital ambulance that had arrived to assist at the crash scene. He attempted to operate the vehicle but failed and was quickly taken into custody by officers.
