I-5 Off-Ramp Temporarily Closed After Crash Involving Three Box Trucks

Bakersfield, California — Following an accident that occurred on June 1st, the off-ramp for Grapevine Road on the northbound side of Interstate 5 was temporarily closed for a short amount of time. The accident involved three box trucks. At this time, the off-ramp for northbound Interstate 5 traffic has been reopened.

It was claimed by the California Highway Patrol that the trucks, which were travelling in a convoy, lost control while negotiating the off-ramp, which led to the collision of all three vehicles.

One of the trucks flipped over and caught fire as a result of the collision, while another truck was strongly smoking previous to the incident. According to the investigation conducted by the California Highway Patrol, at least one of the individuals involved had just minor injuries.
