Authorities in Florida said that a lady was rescued after she left a letter in the lavatory of a Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant, requesting assistance from the staff there.
According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on May 27 in the town of Navarre, which is located in the panhandle.
Jordan Williams, who is 34 years old and has a history of domestic violence, was identified as the suspect by the sheriff’s office who investigated the case. The 29th of May was the day that Williams appeared in court.
The defendant is required to remain in jail without the possibility of bail because he is accused with kidnapping, violence, and assault. In accordance with the report filed by the sheriff, the rescue operation was made possible by an employee of the restaurant who witnessed something that was not typical.
An employee named Eleanor Coffee reported to the authorities that she had observed something unusual in the lavatory. She described it as a small piece of crumpled paper that was placed next to the toilet paper dispenser and said, “Please help me.” On Navarre, one can find me at [some address]. What I need from you is to call the cops.
Coffee instantly dialled 911 after conveying the information to the management of the establishment.
It was reported by the police that they were able to locate the victim, who was clearly injured. Following what are believed to be bone fractures and other injuries, the woman was transported to a hospital.
