Two Children Seriously Injured After Being Thrown from Truck at Lake Pleasant Campground

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon near Lake Pleasant in Peoria, and it resulted in two youngsters suffering significant injuries after falling from a pickup vehicle.

The Desert Tortoise Campground, which is located south of Scorpion Bay Marina, was the location where deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and fire companies from Peoria and Daisy Mountain were dispatched at approximately 2:45 p.m. According to the investigators, two youngsters under the age of ten were riding on an inflatable raft that was positioned in the back of a moving pickup truck when they were thrown off during the incident.

MCSO stated that both victims were transported to the hospital via helicopter, with one of them being in critical condition.

At the time of the occurrence, it was reported that the children were in the company of members of their family. Depending on the findings of the inquiry, the MCSO has stated that probable charges may be proposed towards the suspect. There was no more information disclosed.
