7-Year-Old Injured in Electric Motorbike Crash Near Morehead City

After being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric motorcycle close to Morehead City on Wednesday afternoon, a child who was seven years old sustained serious injuries because of the incident.

Based on the information provided by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the collision took place on June 4 near the junction of Mandy Lane and Oxford Drive, shortly after 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

The adolescent was reportedly riding an electric motorcycle when he attempted to make a left turn from Oxford Drive onto Mandy Lane. However, he failed to give the right of way, according to the investigators reporting the incident. The injured toddler was struck by a vehicle that was going east on Mandy Lane.

Due to the severity of the child’s injuries, they were sent to Carteret General Hospital. The driver of the vehicle that was involved is not anticipated to face any charges, according to the authorities.

This incident is still being looked into by authorities.
