Iowa School Bus Crash Claims Two Lives, Injures Four, Including St. Albert's Softball Team Members

The Iowa State Patrol reports that at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a Volkswagen Tiguan pulled onto the roadway and was then struck by a school bus. The incident occurred close to the intersection of Highway 34 and 195th Street.

Both of the people who were riding in the Tiguan, Ralph Schultz, who was 62 years old, and Perla Schultz, who was 66 years old, passed away.

It has been determined that Jeanette Henderson, who is 63 years old, was the driver of the school bus. Additionally, three girls who were members of the St. Albert’s softball team had minor injuries.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, there were twenty-four persons on board the bus.

An investigation into the collision is still being carried out at this time.
