Georgia Teen Foregoes Graduation Celebrations to Help Coworkers, Earns Generous Donations in Return

Mykale Baker, who is 18 years old and can be seen working at a Burger King in Dacula, Georgia, is well-known for his extraordinary work ethic. The fact that he arrives early and remains late is evidence that he considers each shift to be a privilege.

“I like helping people and not expecting anything back from it,” Baker told . “That’s just me.”

Baking received some positive karma as a result of his work ethic.

“I knew that all the good I put out there is going to come back to me somehow,” Baker stated in his interview.

The night of Baker’s high school graduation arrived in the month of May. After the ceremony was over, he went to Burger King to get a late dinner before it was over. It was at that moment that he became aware that his coworkers were completely overwhelmed with orders.

If they had been at this stage, the majority of teenagers would have been relieved to get the night off and would have been on their way. On the other hand, Baker performed what Baker was known for.

Baker stated, “I wasn’t even clocked in,” referring to his arrival time. “I just put gloves on and said, ‘What do you all need help with?'”

As a result, Baker jumped on the line while still wearing his graduation sash and medals around his neck.

The entire event was captured on camera by a client named Maria Mendoza, who was so shocked that she could not believe what she was seeing.

The statement made by Mendoza was, “There are not a lot of people who are like that.” “… Your graduation comes after thirteen years of schooling. This is the last thing that comes to mind when I think about anyone going to work!

Mendoza was so amazed that she not only uploaded the video to the internet but also initiated a crowdfunding effort in order to show her appreciation for Baker’s honesty and commitment.

In excess of $200,000 has been raised through the campaign. The money that Baker intends to employ will be put toward attending a trade school in order to become an expert auto mechanic and eventually opening his own shop.

Later on, the Burger King Foundation surprised Baker by presenting him with $10,000. Also, the organization provided Mendoza with a sum of ten thousand dollars for her daughter, Daizie, who had recently graduated from high school.

Baker mentioned that his mother, Demeshiah Scott, instilled in him the need of working diligently, even when it seemed as though no one was observing, since you never know when someone could be.
