A house fire that occurred on Sunday evening in North Philadelphia resulted in the deaths of several animals, although officials reported that no persons were injured.
There was a fire that occurred in the 4500 block of North Broad Street just after 7:30 p.m., and crews arrived to the scene. According to officials from the Philadelphia Fire Department, they were confronted with thick smoke and fire emanating from the third level of the twin-family dwelling.
Around 8:00 p.m., firefighters were able to bring the fire under control. It was reported by the fire service that neither firemen nor citizens were injured.
At the time of the fire, it is not quite clear what kinds of animals were present in the residence.
