Louisiana: Former LSU Football Player Arrested After Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Texas

An arrest has been made in connection with a motorbike accident that resulted in the death of a woman from Plano early on Saturday morning. The incident involved a former LSU football player from Baton Rouge.

At approximately 4:51 in the morning on June 7, officers from the Richardson Police Department arrived at the incident, which was located in the 2400 block of the northbound North Central Expressway (US-75). It was determined that the motorcyclist, who was named as Cody Morris, 27, from Plano, had passed away at the scene of the accident. According to the police, there were no other vehicles or people discovered at the scene of the collision.

According to the information provided by Kelvin Joseph Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Allen and a former LSU football player, the Plano Police Department received a call at approximately 5:30 in the morning. Joseph Jr. indicated that he had been engaged in the accident.

After making contact with Joseph, the authorities in Richardson discovered that he was operating a BMW sedan in the direction of northbound traffic on US-75 at the time of the crash. During the course of their conversation with Joseph, law enforcement agents reportedly observed indicators of intoxication, which led to Joseph’s detention.

Joseph is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a collision that resulted in either personal harm or death.

Joseph went to Scotlandville Magnet High School before he participated in the LSU football program.
