Milford Dollar Tree Shaken by Car Crash, Shoppers Hurt in the Incident

A vehicle slammed into the front of a Dollar Tree store in Milford on Saturday afternoon, striking a shopper who was 97 years old and injuring two other people, according to the police. The shopper was struck by the vehicle, and she is currently in critical condition.

A gold Hyundai Elantra that was driving through the parking lot of the Cypress Hall Shopping Center, which is located off South DuPont Boulevard, went off course and crashed into the business, according to the Milford Police Department. The accident took place at approximately 3:25 p.m.

A stop was made near the back of the Dollar Tree, according to the investigators, after the Elantra had passed through the store. A 97-year-old shopper was struck by the car, and he was taken to a neighboring hospital via helicopter for treatment. As of Saturday evening, her status was described as stable but serious.

During the collision, falling debris caused a second customer, a woman who was 76 years old, to sustain injuries. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and she was eventually discharged. The woman who was driving, who was 44 years old, was also transported to a hospital for medical treatment, according to the police.

An investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and the authorities have not yet discovered the reason why the vehicle off the route.
