Emergency at Fern Rock Station: Person Hit by Broad Street Line Train in Philadelphia

A person was struck by a Broad Street Line train on Thursday morning, prompting emergency personnel to respond to the Fern Rock Transit Center station of the SEPTA.

Just before six o’clock in the morning, a spokeswoman for the SEPTA confirmed that someone had been struck, but they did not immediately provide any other information on what took place.

According to an advisory that was posted on the website of SEPTA, the wait times for trains on the Broad Street Line are currently occurring in both directions and can reach up to thirty minutes. There are also shuttle buses that travel between Fern Rock and the Olney Transit Center.

At approximately six o’clock in the morning, SEPTA announced on X that all passengers from Fern Rock will be required to board trains on the local platforms.
