Police say that the two young women who were struck by the car have injuries that are considered to be life-threatening. The second girl, who was being pushed in a stroller, was being given the description of a baby.
A witness stated that the car struck the girl who was riding the bike with such force that she was thrown over the roof of the vehicle. They assert that the offender continued driving through the area and dragged the stroller a block up the road while the infant was secured inside.
“It’s traumatic for children around here, especially young children in the area,” said Laura Bennett, who lives on the street. “It’s especially traumatic for children in the area.” Every one of us is really close.
