San Jose: Suspect Arrested in Dramatic Hit-and-Run That Left Motorcyclist Hospitalized

A suspect was taken into custody two days after a hit-and-run accident in San Jose resulted in the hospitalization of a motorcyclist, according to the police.

According to the San Jose Police Department, they responded to a collision that occurred on June 9 in the vicinity of Southwest Expressway and Fruitdale Avenue just before six o’clock in the morning.

A black car heading south on Corlista Drive performed an unlawful U-turn into the path of a motorcycle who was riding west on Fruitdale Avenue, according to the police. The motorcyclist was headed west on Fruitdale Avenue.

It was reported by the police that the man who was riding the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital immediately.

The driver of the black vehicle reportedly fled the scene before the police arrived, according to the police record.

However, the culprit was recognized as Misael Lara-Moya, who is 35 years old and lives in San Jose, according to the police. On Wednesday, he was taken into custody.
