Flagami, Florida – Three Arrested with Over 1 KG of Meth and Cocaine in Drug Trafficking Operation

According to the figures provided by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), three individuals were apprehended during a drug trafficking operation that took place in a neighborhood in Miami on Tuesday. The individuals were found to be in possession of more than one kilogram of methamphetamine, hundreds of grams of cocaine, and other illicit substances.

On June 10, cameras captured a portion of the operation that took place at a residence located at 262 Northwest 44th Avenue.

Carlos Alberto Sexto, age 52, Jorge Barbaro Vento Soler, age 55, and Dayana Luis Gutierrez, age 33, were taken into custody as a result of this occurrence.

Within a distance of one thousand feet from a school, Sexto is suspected of providing cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as child abuse. Additionally, he is accused of trafficking more than two hundred grams of methamphetamine.

Authorities have accused Vento Soler with delivering a controlled substance, delivering more than 200 grams of cocaine, more than 14 grams of amphetamine, delivering cocaine and methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, and delivering a controlled substance. These charges were brought against Vento Soler.

The charges against Gutierrez include the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine within a distance of one thousand feet from a school, the trafficking of more than two hundred grams of methamphetamine, and the mistreatment of children.

In July of 2023, the investigation that was initiated led to the arrests, which were carried out through a collaborative operation that involved multiple jurisdictions. With the acronym S.A.F.E., the task force is known as the State Assistance for Fentanyl Eradication Initiative.

Agents, detectives, intelligence analysts, and forensic scientists devoted hundreds of hours to this intricate investigation, which resulted in the arrests of individuals and the seizure of more than one kilogram of methamphetamine, nearly 400 grams of cocaine, $26,031 in cash, and two vehicles during the course of the investigation, according to the release.

At the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Sexto, Soler, and Gutierrez were put under arrest and booked into the facility. Currently, final orders of deportation have been issued for both Sexto and Soler.

In bond court on Friday, the individuals who were arrested were arraigned.
