Tragic Hollywood Crash: 19-Year-Old Arrested Following Barber’s Death in Fiery Accident

A 19-year-old man has been taken into custody by the police in connection with a fiery collision that occurred in Hollywood in May and resulted in the death of a well-known barber from Miami Gardens.

The charges against Gerson Alette Jr. include one crime of vehicular murder, six counts of reckless driving causing property damage, two counts of unlawful speeding, and one offense of disobeying a red light, as stated by the Hollywood Police Department.

Sheridan Street and 40th Avenue was the intersection where the victim, Douglas Freeman, 49, was attempting to make a left turn when Alette ran a red light and collided with Freeman’s vehicle, according to the police. As a result of the impact of the collision, the vehicle ended up going through a sign before it caught fire.

Other people were also taken to the hospital as a result of the accident.

The video captures the seconds just prior to the collision, during which a white automobile is seen veering in and out of traffic.

A well-liked and well-known barber at Toppcuttaz barbershop in Miami Gardens, Freeman was a cherished member of the community.
