A rollover accident that occurred on Interstate 95 in Attleborough, Massachusetts, on Sunday night ultimately resulted in the death of one individual.
At around 7:25 p.m., the Attleborough Fire Department responded to reports of a crash involving a single vehicle. Upon arrival, they discovered that the vehicle had off the lane and landed on its side in the woods next to the highway. The driver was found to be unconscious and trapped within the vehicle.
The 69-year-old man was rescued from the debris by firefighters, and later, paramedics conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him while he was being brought by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
During the collision, there was no one else present in the vehicle that the man was driving. At this point, his name has not been made public information.
His vehicle left Interstate 95 south and rolled over into the woods, but the reason for this is not entirely known. Enquiries are being conducted by the Massachusetts State Police.
