20-year-old from Northern Wisconsin ejected from Corvette during crash, hospitalized

An individual who was twenty years old was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a collision. He was thrown from his vehicle after it became airborne and rolled over multiple times.

An accident involving a single vehicle was reported to have occurred at approximately 8:37 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, which received multiple calls informing dispatchers of the incident.

Nokomis deputies responded to the scene of an accident that occurred at the intersection of County Highway K and Mitchell Lane. Gabriel Wallmow, a twenty-year-old resident of Rhinelander, was driving a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette that was traveling west on County Highway K, according to the preliminary findings of the investigation.

During the time that Wallmow was losing control of the vehicle, witnesses reportedly stated that the driver quickly approached them and passed them. A ditch was entered by the vehicle, which then went airborne and rolled multiple times around.

According to reports, Wallnow was ejected from the collision and transported to Tomahawk Aspirus Hospital by ambulance. After that, he was given a helicopter ride to another hospital.

Ongoing investigation is being carried out.
