According to the last two digits of each household’s EDG (Eligibility Determination Group) number, the delivery of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits is staggered between the first and the 28th of each month. This is done in accordance with the EDG number.
In the event that the household does not receive the full benefit amount during the month in which the application was submitted, the amount may be combined with the payment for the following month and deposited into the EBT account of the beneficiary as a single payment.
The fact that SNAP benefits cannot be distributed more than forty days after the last payment is an essential point to keep in mind. In the first delivery, an adjustment period is established for households whose applications were approved more than forty days before the date on which they were scheduled to receive their monthly payments. This adjustment period continues until the payments are in line with the households’ regular schedule.
Unless they have been unable to receive assistance for a period of at least six months and have reapplied after the date of initial certification, households that have been certified prior to May 1, 2023 will continue to receive benefits according to the schedule that was established from the beginning of the certification process.

Who can apply for Texas Snap?
People who are members of households with low incomes and who satisfy the requirements that have been established are the target audience for the program.
