Her death was confirmed at the scene of the incident. She was eventually determined to be Tamika Powell, a resident of Carlton who was the mother of two young ladies, one of whom was 12 years old and the other of whom was 13 years old.
“It seems unbelievable that someone would act in such a casual and dangerous manner, taking her life, her young life, and leaving her two children behind. According to Powell’s mother, Norma Campbell, who stated that she personally witnessed the murder scene, “I don’t have any words, it’s just an atrocity.”
There was a brawl that broke out soon before the gunfire, according to the mother, who stated that when she arrived at the scene, they told her that they had been having a BBQ.
She departed after the confrontation that took place. They indicate that a little while after, the individual went to his residence, came back out, put on a mask, and then left it in the direction that she had departed,” Campbell added.
The video that was uploaded to the Citizen app demonstrated the extensive response that law officers had at the scene.
“Tamika possessed a generous and kind heart. On the other hand, she had a big heart despite having a harsh mouth and a quick tongue, according to her mother. “I’m gonna miss her so much.”
