Suspect Apprehended After Multi-County Pursuit Concludes in Davis Crash

An accident that occurred in the city of Davis was the result of a high-speed pursuit that took place across multiple counties in the Sacramento region, according to the officials who spoke on Wednesday night.

A spokesperson for the North Sacramento division of the California Highway Patrol stated that the pursuit started in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in the Auburn neighborhood of Placer County.

Up until the point where the suspect crashed on Interstate 80 in the city of Davis, which is located in Yolo County, it continued through Sacramento County and the city of Sacramento. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash caused the suspect’s vehicle to catch fire.

First, officers from the Auburn area of the California Highway Patrol were involved, and then they transferred to the North Sacramento division.

The vehicle was found to be lying on its side and brushing against the side of the freeway when it was discovered at the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver and two passengers were all taken into custody after suffering minor injuries.

During the course of the pursuit, law enforcement officials observed that the suspect came into contact with at least one civilian vehicle. This driver, who was the only person in the vehicle at the time, did not sustain any injuries.

It is not yet clear what caused the pursuit to take place.
