Osage County, KS — On July 6, 2025, An collision involving a motorcycle that took place just before 7:30 p.m. on Interstate 335 resulted in the death of one individual.
A Harley Davidson that was being driven by Christian Kaufman was reportedly going on Interstate 335 in the southbound lanes when, for reasons that are not known, the motorcycle went off the road and then overcorrected while it was traveling. The motorcycle then flipped over and collided with a post and a ditch before rolling over and ejecting the rider, which resulted in the person catching fire.
It was determined that Kaufman had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival of the first responders. It appears that there was no other car involved in the collision.
The investigation is still a work in progress.
