Blake Lively Accused of 'Foot-Stomping' by Justin Baldoni in Legal Showdown

Blake Lively is allegedly trying to dictate the conditions of her future deposition simply due to the fact that she is famous, according to the attorneys representing Justin Baldoni.

On Friday, the legal team representing the former cast member of “Jane the Virgin” submitted a response to Lively’s request that her deposition, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday in New York City, be held at her lawyer’s office. Lively’s request was made because she was concerned about being ambushed by photographers outside of Baldoni’s lawyer’s establishment.

As stated in the document that was obtained by TMZ on Sunday, the attorneys representing Baldoni contended that there is no evidence to support this claim and pointed out that the offices of the two attorneys are just about a mile apart from one another.

In addition, Baldoni’s team asserted that the fact that Lively’s deposition was held at her attorney’s office places them in a precarious situation because they could require their own location in order to have a confidentiality conversation during that period of time.

“Her counsel’s tantrum has no place in this Court,” the actor’s attorneys argued, according to the site. “Although Lively’s foot-stomping and use of her celebrity status may have enabled her to seize control of the film, which is the crux of this dispute,” the attorneys claimed.

Requests for comment from attorneys representing Baldoni and Lively were not immediately met with a response.

In the past, representatives for Lively have leveled accusations against Bryan Freedman, the attorney for Baldoni, claiming that he was attempting to make her deposition “a spectacle.”

“Ms. Lively is looking forward to her deposition next week, and it should follow the same rules as every other witness in this case,” her representative said in a statement that was released on Friday.

The statement went on to say that Justin Baldoni’s attorney has made numerous attempts to turn this case into a public spectacle, including the suggestion that tickets may be sold for a televised deposition that would take place at Madison Square Garden. “This is a serious matter of sexual harassment and retaliation, and it deserves to be treated as such,” the speaker said.

Freedman discussed the planned deposition on TMZ Live on June 10, which was broadcast on June 10.

It was he who made the statement, “I am going to ask her questions under the penalty of perjury, and she is going to be required to provide evidence, and she is going to be required to provide the truth of the stories.”

In addition, he mentioned that his team possesses video evidence, emails, and text messages. “We are going to see how consistent her testimony is with the actual facts of what transpired,” he said.

On the set of their film, “It Ends With Us,” Lively, who is 37 years old, is suing Baldoni, who is 41 years old, for allegedly engaging in sexual harassment.

In addition, she is suing his publicists, alleging that they were responsible for coordinating a later campaign of smears against her.

In response to the charges, Baldoni filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging that they had defamed her and committed extortion.

On the other hand, a judge dismissed his lawsuit this past month.
