Pedestrian Killed After Drunk Driver Plows Into Them in Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Police announced on Sunday that a lady was died when she was struck by a vehicle in Huntington Beach. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Corbin Carson, a spokesman for the Huntington Beach Police Department, stated that the collision took place about six o’clock on Saturday evening close to the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Crailet Drive.

A white Toyota RAV4 was reportedly heading northbound on Brookhurst when it collided with the woman in a location that was south of the intersection, according to the police reported. It was determined that she had passed away after she was sent to a hospital for treatment.

The individual who was driving the RAV4, a male from Costa Mesa who was 62 years old, did not sustain any injuries and complied with the laws.

After that, he was taken into custody, and the cops remarked that “impairment does appear to be a factor.”
