Teen Driver, 16, Allegedly Hits and Kills 67-Year-Old Man During Heated Dispute

Police say a 16-year-old boy who was fighting with a 67-year-old man hit and killed him on Thursday with his own car.

Neville Robinson died when a car hit him in front of his home in Beltsville. The cops in Prince George’s County said Robinson shot the teen just before the car hit him.

“After that, I heard someone say, ‘Ah,’ and then I saw a car speed off,” said a neighbor who did not want to be named. “I didn’t think much of it.” My brother comes after five minutes. “There are a lot of police outside.” When I went outside, we saw one of our friends lying on the ground.

EMTs showed up just before 11 p.m. on the Ring camera of a different neighbor.

Police said Robinson and the 16-year-old driver from Bowie had been fighting for a while. The teen went to Robinson’s house Thursday night for no clear reason.

“You can see that he was having trouble with the neighbors because eggs are all over his door,” Christine, one of his friends, said. “Like, they wash his door in eggs.”

Friends like Christine who are devastated are left asking why.

“Life is no longer important to people.” 16 years old. “What are you doing at someone else’s house that you don’t know and isn’t related to you?” she asked in tears. “He’s not one of yours.” Why? “I don’t get it.”

Robinson is liked, cared for, and helpful by his friends and neighbors.

She told Neville, “When you’re with him, all he does is tell you jokes.” “There are never dull times with him.”

“Very kind and loving person…” “I don’t know him as a bad person,” she said.

Police said they found the young driver, but haven’t charged them yet. They are now working with the state’s attorney’s office to figure out what to do next.
