A 79-year-old motorcyclist from Grand Junction was taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a crash on Colorado Highway 82 near Aspen involving another vehicle.
A Ford F-150 truck and a motorcyclist were in an accident at milepost 34.5 on Smith Hill Way and Highway 82. This was according to Colorado State Trooper Sherri Mendez. The Ford F-150 was being driven by a man from Parachute who was 29 years old. At 2:15 p.m., the accident took place.
Mendez was not able to say the names of the people involved.
She said that the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital after the accident. The severity of his injuries is not known at this time.
She said that more specific details won’t be shared until the investigating trooper turns in their report at the end of their shift. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, no charges or tickets had been issued.
