Following a narcotics raid that took place at a property located on North Detroit Street in Bellefontaine on Friday afternoon, two suspects were taken into custody.
As part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics activity, officers from the Criminal Patrol Unit of the Bellefontaine Police Department, with the assistance of detectives from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, carried out an arrest and search warrant at 134 North Detroit Street at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
The police said that they came across De’Andrea L. Tucker, 45, while she was sitting on the front porch.
According to the allegations, Tucker disobeyed the directions of the cops and concealed his hands in the pocket of his hoodie.
A brief struggle ensued before he was taken into custody.
According to the officers, he made an attempt to dispose of what is believed to be crack cocaine during the meeting, which was subsequently found at the location.
On the same time that everything was taking place, additional cops knocked on the front door and proclaimed their presence there.
After receiving no response, they proceeded to force entry.
Stephanie L. Burk, who was 46 years old, was seen running upstairs inside.
According to reports, she was discovered in a bedroom where she had attempted to get rid of what is believed to be crack cocaine.
After the encounter, Burk was brought into prison without any additional chaos.
Packaging supplies, digital scales, baking soda, several mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, and additional suspected crack cocaine were discovered during a search of the home. These items are all usually connected with the trafficking and production of drugs.
In addition to being charged with tampering with evidence, Tucker was also accused with possessing cocaine.
Burk was charged with illegally making drugs, trafficking in cocaine, tampering with evidence, and possession of cocaine. He was also accused of tampering with evidence.
The Logan County Jail was the location where both individuals were booked.
According to the police, the investigation is still ongoing, and they have stated that additional charges may be issued once the evidence is reviewed.
