Bellingham, MA: RI Bicyclist Tragically Killed in Crash, Juvenile Driver Faces Charges

After being struck by a vehicle in Bellingham, Massachusetts, on Monday, a cyclist from Rhode Island unfortunately passed away. The driver of the vehicle, who was a juvenile, has been handed a criminal ticket, according to the police.

All of the collisions took place on South Main Street. In the vicinity of 12:45 p.m., Bellingham police and firefighters responded to the scene.

The cyclist, a guy from Woonsocket who was sixty years old, was transported to Landmark Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

After being assessed by first responders, the driver, who was identified as a juvenile from Sutton, Massachusetts, remained at the scene of the accident and was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

A criminal citation was issued to the driver for motor vehicle homicide, careless operation, and a violation of marked lanes, according to the police.

According to the Bellingham police, an investigation is currently being conducted to determine what caused the collision.
