Following the collision with a bike in Osceola County early on Sunday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver who fled the scene.
A little after midnight, the incident took place close to the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Sun Cove Drive, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol! A bicycle rider was struck by an unidentified car that was heading northbound on Pleasant Hill, according to the state police. The cyclist was traveling east across the junction.
A 2019 Volkswagen Jetta was directed toward the biker after he was flung into the outside lane of traffic. The driver of the Jetta made an attempt to swerve, but they were unfortunately unable to avoid colliding with the cyclist who was lying on the street.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that both automobiles had a green signal at the time of the collision. Following the collision, the driver and vehicle of unknown origin fled the scene in the direction of the north.
At the site, it was determined that the man who was riding the bicycle had passed away. The medical examiner’s office is still seeking to positively identify the rider who was involved in the accident.
Witnesses have informed the Florida Highway Patrol that the unidentified vehicle is a black Honda Accord that is reasonably new.
I am sorry about it. Reinaldo Mora, a driver in the vicinity, expressed his regret as he said, “I feel sorry for the family member of that individual, and it’s not right.” You should immediately stop and make an effort to offer assistance or notify someone if you are involved in an accident. It is a sign that you are feeling sorry over anything if you continue to use it.
Those who are familiar with the region have said that the route is both hazardous and congested.
“The cars are trying to turn, trying to get through, and at the same time it just creates a bad situation,” said Robinson Lawrence, a motorist in the area. “I find it extremely frustrating.”
“There are areas over here that are dark,” Mora informed the audience. “I mean, your eyesight changes, your reaction time may change, but it’s not an excuse.”
