Two guys are being sought by authorities after they allegedly assaulted an off-duty NYPD officer in the Bronx, knocking him to the ground and breaking several bones before snatching his iPhone and wallet.
Police said two suspects attacked the 27-year-old victim on Saturday just after 4 a.m. on St. Peters Avenue in Westchester Square. After putting a knife to his throat, they took his possessions.
After stealing the victim’s registered gun, one of the thieves fled with the other. The man suffered a head injury and was sent to a hospital in critical condition.
Taveon Hargrove, 23, has been named as one suspect. They posted a picture of him (see below).
The other has not yet been identified.
