Bronx Shocking Incident: 5-Year-Old Boy Robbed of Necklace on Local Street

In the Bronx over the weekend, a moped rider ripped the chain from the neck of a child who was just five years old. The police are seeking for the person who committed this crime.

There was a moped rider who drew up and made his move on the sidewalk of Marion Avenue around 193rd Street on Saturday afternoon, according to the investigators. The boy was playing with his sibling and other children at the time. He then drove away, traveling in the direction of the north, after grabbing the chain from the boy’s neck.

NBC New York was able to collect surveillance footage that showed the scooter rider getting closer to the youngsters and focusing his attention on the small kid before grabbing the necklace with such power that it lifted him off the ground at that moment.

In addition to sustaining several bruises as a consequence of the incident, the young kid was treated at the scene for redness and swelling all over his neck. He stated that he was outside with his son and that he moved away for a little minute to retrieve a toy. The father of the child, who asked not to be identified, disclosed this information. It was at that moment that the suspect pounced.

“No child with their innocence should have to worry about walking with their parents or on the street,” the father expressed his opinion. “My son is shaken.”

After hearing what had transpired from his sons, the father immediately set out to pursue the scooter through the streets. He claimed that the individual who stole the necklace was wearing a mask and a particular jacket, describing it as having a “distinctive white pattern of white stripes,” primarily on the shoulder. He also stated that the necklace was stolen.

During the time that the victim was being robbed, the victim’s older sister stated that her brother was standing directly close to his younger brother, who was eight years old. According to the father, the necklace held a significant significance for the entire family.

There was a religious significance to it. The necklace that bore his name was more than just a simple piece of jewelry; it was an integral part of who we were. The father told his children, “Who we are as a people, as a culture.”
