CalFresh EBT July 2025: Exact Deposit Dates You Need to Know

CalFresh EBT July 2025: Exact Deposit Dates You Need to Know

In California, CalFresh benefits, which are also called SNAP benefits at the federal level, are being given out from July 1, 2025, to July 10, 2025. The last number of the recipient’s case number tells you the exact date of the deposit. At midnight on the due date, payments are loaded.

About 92% of deposits are made on the date that was given. People who get money should wait a few hours before calling their county office if the money doesn’t show up. You can use an EBT card at grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and certain online stores.

Payment distribution by case number digit

As was already said, the CalFresh programme sends payments based on the last number of the recipient’s case number, which can be seen in the table below:

  • Case number ends in 1: Payment on July 1
  • Case number ends in 2: Payment on July 2
  • Case number ends in 3: Payment on July 3
  • Case number ends in 4: Payment on July 4
  • Case number ends in 5: Payment on July 5
  • Case number ends in 6: Payment on July 6
  • Case number ends in 7: Payment on July 7
  • Case number ends in 8: Payment on July 8
  • Case number ends in 9: Payment on July 9
  • Case number ends in 0: Payment on July 10

Amounts depend on the size of the family. For every $292 that a single person gets, a family of four can get $975. The price hikes are due to changes in the cost of living that have happened since October 2024. The lowest benefit stays at $23, and the highest amount for a family of eight stays at $1,756.

Eligibility requirements in 2025

Gross and nett income limits must be met by households in order to qualify. A person by themselves can’t make more than $1,632 a month, either gross or nett. The limits are $3,380 gross and $2,600 nett for families of four. Applicants must also meet rules about their assets.

Liquid assets can’t be more than $3,000, or $4,500 if there are seniors or disabled people living in the house. Primary homes, pensions, and necessary vehicles are not covered. People who get TANF, Medi-Cal, or SSI may not have to meet as many requirements.

Double Up Food Bucks program

When you buy fresh fruits and vegetables through the Double Up Food Bucks programme, your CalFresh benefits are worth twice as much. People who get it get an extra $1 for every $1 they spend, up to $60 a month. Extra money is added to the EBT card so that it can be used for future purchases.

It can be bought at stores that are participating, such as Food Co and markets that are connected with Double Up California. A representative for the programme said, “It’s direct help for getting healthy foods.” Families whose kids are in school meal programmes may also get an extra $120 per child during the summer.

Verifying payments and resolving issues

The ebtEDGE app or the www.ebt.ca.gov portal can be used by recipients to check their balances. If they make a mistake with their deposit, they should call their county agency or the 1-877-847-3663 CalFresh hotline. Every one to two years, depending on the case, you need to get re-certified.

Go to doubleupca.org to learn more about Double Up Food Bucks. BenefitsCal is in charge of processing CalFresh applications. Each child who is eligible will get SUN Bucks for the summer of 2025 all at once.
