A box truck was involved in an accident in Floyd County, and a woman from Cedar Falls was thrown from the vehicle, resulting in her death.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the collision took place on Friday, May 16 at approximately 8 o’clock in the evening, close to the intersection of Highway 14 and CR-B60.
Britney Huffman, who is 38 years old, was operating a box truck on CR-B60 in the westbound direction when she failed to come to a stop at the intersection with Highway 14.
Both of the automobiles were sent into the ditch after Huffman collided with another vehicle. After being thrown from the truck, Huffman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Minor injuries were sustained by the driver of the second vehicle.
