Electronic Benefits Transfer cards are still getting food funds from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. People in homes of four who get SNAP can get up to $975 in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Hawaii and Guam, on the other hand, have higher maximum amounts because of the higher cost of living there.
For instance, if you live in Hawaii and get the most money for a family of four, you could have gotten up to $1,723 in July. In Guam, a family with the same number of people can get up to $1,437. In other words, it’s a lot more than the $975 you can get for four in the 48 States. Alaska paid all of its bills on July 1, but it still has money to pay up to $1,953.

What is the average SNAP amount for 4 in the 48 States?
In fact, not all Americans who get SNAP payments are eligible for the full amount for their group. The least you can get for a family of four is a lot less than the most, which is $975.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says that the typical SNAP payment for a family of four is only $726. Still, make the most of all the options the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program gives you.
Think about the Double Up Food Bucks scheme. It will save you money and help you get more food. This program matches your SNAP EBT dollars up to a certain amount, so you get twice as many fruits and vegetables.
