Connecticut Lights Up the Sky as Thousands Celebrate Independence Day Weekend

A large number of people from all throughout Connecticut celebrated Independence Day by watching fireworks over the course of the weekend.

Each and every year, West Haven puts on a spectacle that is rather impressive. They do an outstanding job there!” Crystal Benoit, who resides in West Haven, stated.

A show that lived up to the expectations of a large number of people that were at Savin Rock Park. Every single one of them gazing as the Star-Spangled Banner swayed in the breeze. There were a lot of families who loved attending this event.

Free of charge! Benoit stated that there are a lot of things that are no longer free in this world any longer.

The town made the choice to postpone the event until Saturday after it was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday. The event was postponed due to the storms that were predicted to occur. Dorinda Borer, the Mayor, has stated that it was done with the safety of the public in mind.

According to her, “We made the right call because we wanted to make sure that everyone was safe, and it actually worked out because it’s beautiful and everyone still came out,” she said.

As it has done every year for more than three decades, the Hartford Bonanza gathered thousands of people to Bushnell Park in Philadelphia, which is the capital city.

Kelvin Dumas, a resident of Hartford, expressed his excitement about the event by saying, “We all enjoy ourselves, our family, and our friends, and we invite people out to come with us, and we just look forward to this opportunity every year.”

One could shop from a variety of merchants, and of course, there was the delectable cuisine that was served from the food trucks.

“A large number of different food trucks to choose from, as well as a large number of other items to purchase. “A great number of affable individuals,” Dumas stated.

In addition, the Bushnell Park Carousel was open, and a number of individuals made use of it in order to take advantage of the opportunity to cool off. It is a wonderful time, according to one individual, to form a bond with her grandchild.

Knowing that he was born and raised in this setting, which my mother used to bring us to on the weekends, is a very special thing. As I mentioned before, I brought my children and now my grandchildren with me, and it’s really amazing,” said Griselle Norvaez, who lives in Hartford. Others in the family included my sisters and brothers.

A gathering of relatives and friends who were brought together by their affection for their community.

“There is no greater time than this one. Really take pleasure in it,” Dumas stated.
