Coroner Releases Name of 31-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck on White Lane

Bakersfield, California — 

The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified Justin Dewayne Stalker, 31, of Rosamond, as the man who was struck and killed on White Lane.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of White Lane and El Potrero Lane on April 8, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m., to investigate a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they discovered Stalker dead.

According to Bakersfield police, a preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a red Jeep SUV was traveling eastbound on White Lane and Stalker was southbound outside of a crosswalk when the collision occurred.

The Jeep driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

According to police, the driver did not appear to be impaired or driving at excessive speeds.
