Corruption Exposed: Delaware County Immigration Officer Arrested for Bribery

An individual who is employed as an immigration officer in Delaware County is being accused of soliciting financial assistance from individuals in exchange for assurances that he would assist them with obtaining green cards, documents, or visas, according to the officials.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Amara Dukuly, who resides in Brookhaven, was taken into custody and charged with bribery of a public officer.

According to the explanation provided by the authorities, Dukuly, who is 43 years old, is accused of exploiting his position as an employee of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office to successfully persuade his victims to pay him in order for him to assist them with the papers necessary to obtain their green card, work permit, or visa.

In the criminal complaint, it is stated that Dukuly’s work responsibilities did not include the things that he had promised his victims he could do, and he did not have the ability to carry out his promises.

An ongoing inquiry is being conducted into the activities of Dukuly.
