The individual who was killed in a collision that occurred on Thursday morning in Fresno County has been identified by the office of the coroner.
It was reported by the California Highway Patrol that the collision took place on Thursday morning at approximately seven o’clock in the vicinity of Buttonwillow and American avenues.
A male who was involved in the event passed away at the scene of the incident. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased individual as Efrain Lara Jr., who was 28 years old and from Farmersville. Initially, the CHP revealed that the individual was from Exeter.
A woman from Reedley, who was 64 years old at the time, was operating a Toyota Prius on American Avenue when she reached the junction with the intention of making a left turn onto Buttonwillow Avenue, according to the findings of an inquiry.
During the same time period, the cops have reported that Lara Jr. was operating a Honda Accord on Buttonwillow Avenue, which is an intersection that does not have any traffic controls. After then, the Toyota entered the intersection in a manner that was directly in front of the driving Honda.
According to reports, Lara Jr. applied the brakes and turned to the left in an effort to escape the collision; instead, the fronts of both vehicles connected. It was determined that he had passed away at the scene of the accident, and the woman who was driving the Toyota was then taken to the hospital; her condition is now unclear.
