Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Wisconsin Claims Life of 50-Year-Old, Speed and Alcohol Possible Factors

A motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday night in Wisconsin and resulted in the death of a man who was fifty years old appears to have been caused by both speed and alcohol, according to the authorities.

A motorbike was reported to be in a ditch on County Highway D near County Highway DG outside of the Village of Fall River at 9:38 p.m. on June 13, according to a release issued by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies went to the scene at that time.

According to the authorities, they arrived at the scene within four minutes of the 9-1-1 call and immediately began performing life-saving efforts on the driver of the motorcycle, who was discovered to be immobile.

An initial examination indicates that the motorcycle was traveling west on County Highway D at the time of the collision. It is believed that the motorcycle lost control, entered the ditch, and ejected the driver before coming to a stop in a drainage ditch that was located along the side of a farm field.

The driver, a man from Fall River who was fifty years old, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident, and deputies reported that speed and alcohol were deemed likely contributing factors.

For two hours, the portion of County Highway D that was located between Hemling Road and County Highway CD was closed. At this moment, there is no other information that can be provided, and they are still conducting an investigation into the crash.
