Dodge Ram Smashes Into AMPM in Victorville During Late Night Chaos

VICTORVILLE, Calif. — The AMPM store located in the 16200 block of D Street, adjacent to the I-15 highway in Victorville, was temporarily closed on Thursday night as a result of a collision between a Dodge Ram pickup truck and the building; the collision occurred.

It was roughly 9:13 o’clock in the evening on July 10, 2025 when the incident took place. It was claimed that a red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and a blue 2006 Acura RSX were involved in a collision, and the Victorville City Fire Department went to the scene.

According to reports, the Acura accidently collided with the rear of the Dodge Ram, which then went on to crash into the storefront.

As a result of the hit caused by the truck, the sprinkler system of the building was activated, and the firefighters were required to turn off the water supply in order to prevent any additional damage. In order to evaluate the extent of the structural damage, it was requested that Victorville Building and Safety get to the nearby location.

“Deputies responded to the area for a traffic collision and learned that a red Dodge Ram crashed into the AMPM, and the driver fled the scene,” Gloria Orejel, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, said. “The driver fled the scene.” As a result of the truck leaking gas, the people who were inside the store were forced to escape. It was also reported by Orejel that the suspect was found in the vicinity and transported to the hospital for medical care of his wounds.

According to Penal Code 594, the act is being examined as a possible case of felony vandalism. Nobody has been taken into custody, and there is no information available about this.

The ampm officially reopened its doors for business as of the morning of Friday. At this very moment, work is being done to repair the wall that was damaged.
