Driver Airlifted After Serious Crash with Tractor Trailer in Wolcott, New York

On Friday, a tractor-trailer was involved in a collision that occurred on State Route 104 in the Town of Wolcott. The collision resulted in serious injuries to a man from Henrietta.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that the collision took place at the intersection of Route 104 and Route 370. The accident occurred when a tractor-trailer driven by Jeremie Faustin, who was 47 years old and from Orlando, Florida, attempted to make a westbound turn onto Route 104 from Route 370 through the intersection.

According to the deputies, Faustin failed to yield the right of way, which contributed to the collision between the trailer and Ahmed Sulieman, who was traveling east on Route 104. Sulieman was 26 years old.

Sulieman was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening. Fire crews were required to extricate Sulieman from the vehicle. There is still an ongoing investigation.
