According to the Horizon City Police Department, a man was taken into custody on Thursday, May 29, in Horizon, for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol and colliding with a rock wall.
In the 700 block of Teichelkamp Drive in Horizon, officers responded to a report of a car rollover crash that occurred just after 8 o’clock on Thursday evening, according to the police reporting.
cops received information that indicated a vehicle had crashed into a rock wall, which caused the vehicle to roll over, according to the police. This information was acquired by cops upon their arrival.
Following that, officers were able to identify the driver, who was later identified as Mauro Esquivel Rosales. According to the police, the motorist had fled the area before the arrival of the officers.
Rosales underwent a medical examination and was found to be in good health. After that, he was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol as well as failing to disclose that he had struck a structure, fixture, or landscaping.
The bond for his arrest was set at $2,000, and he was put into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
